ResMed Swift FX Headgear
The Swift FX replacement headgear is a 2 point CPAP mask harness that attaches to the mask frame holding the mask in place. This head strap includes 2 fabric mask pads that attach to the silicone part of the mask to prevent marks on the face from the pressure of the headgear strap.
The ResMed Swift FX is one of the all time best selling nasal pillow CPAP masks and many users will find the need to replace certain parts over time such as the headgear and/or pillow cushion insert.
If you notice that you need to over tighten your headgear strap it is usually a sign that that your headgear has lost elasticity and should be replaced. The typical lifespan of a mask headgear is 3-6 month depending on how well you care for it however, it may need to be replaced earlier if not cleaned regularly. In order to receive the full benefits of sleep therapy, a CPAP supply needs replacement on a regular basis. For best results you should hand wash and let air dry.
